What is Linrad?
Linrad is a computer program for the Linux operating system.
Linrad receives a signal in digital form by reading a device. Currently Linrad operates with a wide range of audio boards for which Linux device drivers are available and in the future boards sampling directly at RF frequencies will be available.
Linrad is independent of the hardware It processes any bandwidth that the hardware can handle.
Linrad is still in an early stage of development but it is already useful for weak signal CW and spectrum overview.
This page has links to pages describing set up and use of Linrad. At the moment many of these pages contain no information but all of them should be present. Look at The LINUX PC-radio for Intel platforms which has links showing various aspects of Linrad as encountered chronologically during the development work. This link essentially contains the same information as will be presented by the links below.

This is a test of the emergency blogging system. This is ONLY a test. If there was a real emergency, I'd sure as hell not be blogging while it was going on.
